Hi there. Ford owners today in your 2013 Ford focus we'll be taking a look at and showing you how to install to conscious T1 vehicle wiring harness with a four-pole flat trailer connector. And this is what our four-pole connector will look like when you got it installed. It's normally hidden behind the cover, right here when not in use, but when you're ready to use it, you can poke it right out of the cover, drape it down the back, and it will pinch in-between our weatherstripping, which won't cause any damage to it. It'll hold it in place.Keeping our wiring secure when we need it. We have a four-pole flat trailer connector, which will provide us with all the necessary lighting signals, which includes our left turn signal, right turn signal, tail lamps, and brake lamps, which will keep us DOT compliant in all States, and will allow people behind us to see the lights on our trailers. more

Speaker 1: Today on this 2015 Ford Focus, we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the Tekonsha T1 vehicle wiring harness with a four pole flat trailer connector. Part number 118674.Here's what our wiring looks like installed. As you can see, when it's not in use it's designed to be stored inside our spare tire compartment on our vehicle, out of the way so it doesn't get damaged. When we want to use it, we can grab it, set it to the side of our latch here for our trunk. Now the reason we want to stay to the side of our trunk latch is because this is a pinch point and it could damage our wires. So make sure we have plenty of clearance and we'll lay it flat over the weather stripping and we can close our hatch over the wires.As you'll notice we have plenty of slack in our wires to get right next to the receiver on our hitch. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2014 Ford Focus- Video
Today on our 2014 Ford Focus sedan, we'll be installing the Curt key connector vehicle wiring harness for forward pull flat trailer connector, part number C56138. Now we want to use our wire to hook up to our trailer. We can just set it aside here to the side of our latch of our trunk. Close our trunk on down and we have plenty of wire to make our connection to our trailer. And now when we're not towing our trailer, we can stow it out of the way inside of our trunk. Just open up our spare tire cover here, drop it on inside, close it on up, it's out of the way. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2009 Ford Focus- Video
Today on our 2009 Ford Focus, we will be installing the Tow Ready T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector, part number 118457. All right, first thing we need to do on our Ford Focus to install the wiring harness is to open the trunk. Now what we want to do is go ahead and remove the taillight assemblies on both sides of the vehicle. The first step in order to gain access to our taillights is to remove the center trim piece right here. Now with those plastic screws removed, grab one corner of the center piece, pull up on it, and it'll pop off. Go ahead and set it aside. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2014 Ford Focus 118549- Video
Today on our 2014 Ford Focus Five Door we're going to be installing the Tow Ready T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness, part number 118549. We're going to begin by raising the rear hatch of the vehicle. Now that we have our rear hatch open go ahead and set this trunk cover aside for now. Go ahead and set the spare tire out as well. The reason why I took all that out is to gain access to this grommet that we'll be using in a little bit. Now that we have the trunk area cleared out next we're going to need to remove this panel right here to gain access to the nuts that are behind the taillight assembly. Simply push in and pull outward and set it aside. Now with our panel removed let's go ahead and point out the two plastic nuts that we'll need to remove. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2008 Ford Focus- Video
Today on our 2008 Ford Focus, well be installing the Tow Ready Custom Fit vehicle wiring harness, part number 118457.Now to begin our installation, we'll open the trunk. With the trunk open, we'll need to temporarily disconnect the drivers side tail lamp. To do this, we'll undo the two plastic screws here on the drivers side holding in the plastic trim just behind the taillight.Then using some gentle force, we'll pry the trim away where we can move it off to the side. We'll then take a 10 mm socket and remove the two nuts off the taillight studs here.With that done, we'll use a pry tool to pry back on our taillight and remove it from the vehicle. Now this exposes our connector here that we'll T into. Now with our drivers side taillight out, we'll go ahead and repeat the same procedure and remove the passenger side taillight.Now that we have both taillights out, we'll take our new wiring harness and we'll route our four pole and the connector with the green wire to it down underneath the vehicle through the hole here between the body and the bumper cover. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2003 Ford Focus- Video
Today on our 2003 Ford Focus Wagon well be installing Draw-Tite wiring harness part #: 18252. Now to begin well simply open the rear cargo door and remove the two taillight assemblies. To do this well unscrew the two Phillips head screws and push the taillight assembly out towards the side. We can then unplug the lights and set them off to the side to keep from damaging them. Well use a piece of airline as a fish tape where well fish it down through the taillight hole behind the bumper and down through the bottom. With that done well go ahead and take our four pole harness and well peel the green wire off of the harness so that it can be routed over to the right taillight. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 Ford Focus- Video
Today on our 2012 Ford Focus well be installing Tow Ready T1 connector, part number 118549. Now well begin by opening the tailgate and remove the vehicles taillight housing assemblies. To do this here on the drivers side well remove the black plastic cover and pull back the insulation liner to access the plastic wing nut holding the taillight in place. Theres another wing nut in here that well also need to undo. With both wing nuts undone we can remove the drivers side taillight. Well repeat this process to remove the passenger side assembly. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2001 Ford Focus- Video
Today on our 2001 Ford Focus well be installing the Draw Tite four pole wiring kit, part number 18252. Before we can install the wire well need to go ahead and remove some of the interior trim panels. On the drivers side well remove the upper and side trim panels so that we can pull back the carpeting to gain access to the manufacturers wiring. There are multiple fasteners that will need to be removed in order to complete this task. Now with the panels removed you can see we have access here to the manufacturers wiring that runs to the tail lights. The blue connector here is where the main signal comes in for the tail light circuit. more
